slowly slipping

Do not bend me too much, for I will break.

a lack of

Strength is recognizing that you need help and asking for it
Strength is when no matter how hopeless the battle looks, you will never forfeit

Strength is letting down your guard and taking a chance
Strength is asking the one person you secretly admire to just one dance

Strength is going on even when you don't have the will
Strength is going to the extreme not just for the thrill

Strength is doing what's right no matter what it will cost
Strength is asking for help when you are completely and utterly lost

Strength is letting people get close and giving them the ability to hurt you
Strength is not just saying what people want to hear but saying what is true

Strength is never giving up no matter how hopeless things seem
Strength is making reality out of your every hope and dream

Strength is being able to let go and finally say goodbye
Strength is recognizing that it's always okay to cry

Strength is being able to laugh in the face of fear
Strength is going down the path you're on no matter how drear

Strength is recognizing when you need to let the one you love go
Strength is letting your true feelings show

Strength is being able to move on and learn from your mistakes
Strength is being true to yourself even when everyone else are fakes

Strength is finally letting the one that you love know
Strength is recognizing your mistakes and using them to grow

Strength is scaling every mountain no matter how high
Strength is freeing your soul and letting your spirit fly

Strength is the ability to forgive no matter what the crime
Strength is forgiving and forgetting all of the time

Strength is in not following the crowd but embarking on your own
Strength is knowing that you're never perfect but merely partly grown

Strength is never giving up even when all odds are against you
Strength is always finding the time to do what you've got to do

Strength is sticking up for the person everyone picks on
Strength is always looking at the pro and never at the con

Strength is opening your heart to everyone regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or skin tone
Strength is standing up for what's right even if you're standing alone

Strength is knowing who you are and who you want to be
Strength is found in everyone, but where has it gone for me?

reminiscing of pre-nostalgia

I'm sitting here in my acting class, looking around at the faces that I don't normally see all the time. Nonetheless, some of them are faces that I will mot see again for a long time after I graduate. It's a fleeting feeling, actually. To me, at least. I'm just now realizing how much I will miss every single person I leave behind in Kingwood as I make my way to San Marcos. Don't get me wrong; I'm way too excited for words. And I'm getting the opportunity of a lifetime. I'm just worried that my homesickness will sicken me earlier than I had intended.

I've been working hard recently, even though I'm a second semester senior. I'm making graduation presents. Not for me, but for people I am going to miss the most next year at college. People that I enjoy seeing day after day in the to and fro of Kingwood High School. It's tough, too. At least every present I'm making contains a note. Some of them are good, some of them are not so good, some of them explain things I've never had the time to, and some of them say things I've never had the courage to say. Nobody is allowed to open them until after I've graduated, as I don't want to see people's reactions to my presents. But, anyways.

Next year is going to be so different. It's a change that I'm going to have to accept sooner or later. I'm not going to have the liberty of seeing those I love with everything I have all the time. I'm not going to have the assurance that I can always come home to a healthy house. I'm not going to be able to be there in person for those who need me.

Might as well accept it now.

make the world happier

Sorry I haven't written in a while, those who are devoted enough to still read the random stuff I write.

Can I just say how much greater the world would be if each and every person tried to make at least one person's day better? No matter if you just smiled at them, recognized they are in the room, talked to them, gave them a present, hugged them, or just waved at them, you would make that person realize that there is at least one other person out there that is thinking about them.

It's like today in Productions, I was really freaking bored and Alli Knox seemed a bit stressed/ tired or whatever. Seeing as I had decided to bring my Mac into school on this wonderful Thursday, I had the initiative after seeing her in the class to set the laptop off to the side and burn her a CD, since we have about 1500 blank CD's in the Theatre Department. Gave it to her at the end of class.

Result: the biggest grin I've ever seen. It wasn't hard, either. It took little to almost no effort on my part.

I don't think I would be able to comprehend the improvement of our world had everybody made this choice, day in and day out.
That's my spiel for the day.
